1. How does one get a marriage license in Arizona?

To obtain a marriage license in Arizona, a couple must apply at an Arizona county Supreme Court Office, and provide their names, addresses and Social Security numbers and pay a $50 license fee. The couple may reside anywhere, but must get married in Arizona within a year after the license is granted. No blood test or waiting period is required.

There are a number of local wedding service providers such as wedding planners, florists, musicians, photographers, etc. in the Sedona area. A list of names and contact numbers is available upon request.

4. How do we contact you?

My telephone number is (928) 282-3381. Should you wish to contact me by fax, the number is (928) 282-7808. My email address is caseyjt@esedona.net.

5. Can we meet before we book?

Yes, we can meet if you are in the Sedona area or plan to be soon. Most of the couples I work with reside outside Arizona. Usually, these couples book with me following our initial telephone conversations. A face-to-face meeting can then scheduled as per the couple’s schedule. If possible, I like meeting with couples in person at least once before the wedding as it helps build a more personal relationship.

6. Can we write our own vows, or include our favorite readings or poetry?

Yes. These are wonderful additions to your service. Using your favorite music, poetry and including family or children personalizes your ceremony.

7. How long before the wedding should we book an officiant?

I suggest that you book sooner rather than later so that you are not disappointed. I am willing to perform a wedding on short notice depending on my schedule. Please call me to check my availability.

8. How long does the ceremony take?

Most ceremonies take between 20 to 30 minutes including the procession down the aisle, the ceremony and the recessional.

9.How much is your officiating fee?

My fees are among the most affordable in Sedona. Fees are dependent on such things as the need for a rehearsal and travel distance from Sedona to the wedding site.

10. Do we need a rehearsal?

A rehearsal is optional but a good idea. If it isn’t possible to have the wedding party gather a day or so prior to the wedding for a rehearsal, I can meet the wedding party members on the wedding day. The purpose of a rehearsal is to ensure that everyone in the wedding party is familiar with the physical logistics such as the order of procession/ recession, where to stand, who accompanies who, etc.

11. Can you do outdoor weddings?

Absolutely. I can officiate almost anywhere.
